Hello! I'm back once more with an update on my week, such as it was.
  • My writing is going quite well. I'm getting to the very exciting part in Hero, and I've gotten to write several highly dramatic scenes, and I'm fairly confidant that I'll finish this tale by the end of the month! Anya, by the way, has also finally replaced Dee as my preferred main character in this book.
  • Since I think I'm going to finish Hero by the end of the month, I already have plans for my next one or two writing projects. Writing project number one is NaNoWriMo. What's NaNoWriMo? Well, some of you might remember that in July, I did a challenge to write a 50,000 word novel in a month. NaNoWriMo is the same thing, but in November. Writing project number two is a short story that my friend asked me to write and I have a few ideas for. I may or may not do this, depending on how long it takes me to finish writing Hero.
  • It was something of a miracle that I got much writing at all done yesterday. Why? It's quite simple. The Lost Stories, the latest and last book in the Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan was released yesterday, and thanks to my parents, I was able to go to the library in time to be the first one to check it out! In my excitement, I began reading it in the van on the way home, and continued reading it on and off the rest of the evening. It, although not quite what I expected, was quite good, and very entertaining

  1. I voted for #1 since it is for a contest and the readers might not be familiar with the backstory from the sequels...but I think you should write them all!

  2. Thanks for voting! And I will . . . eventually.

I'd love to hear your thoughts! But remember: it pays to be polite to dragons.
