Word War!

This is the official post for today's word war! As a reminder, it'll run from 3:00-4:00 PM EST. Feel free to join in!

Confused about what a word war is? It's pretty simple: a word war is a competition to see who can write more words in their story or novel in a certain amount of time. The winner gets bragging rights; everyone gets writing done. It's awesome. If you have any other questions, just ask in the comments.

When the time's up, just post your word count in the comments. I'll officially announce the winner tomorrow (or Saturday, in the event that I don't post tomorrow for whatever reason).

Good luck, and may the words be ever in your favor!

  1. I totally wanted to do it... But a hour of straight writing is a lot for me, besides the fact that I was busy with piano lessons. :/ If you ever hold shorter ones again, I'll definitely join!
(And this also seems like a fitting time to tell you that I've tagged you for the Shelfie blog tag: http://awritersfaith.blogspot.com/2014/11/a-shelfie-for-you.html)

    1. Aw. :( I'm sorry to hear that- what amount of time would work better for you?
And thank you! I've seen the shelfie tag around several other blogs, and it looks really fun, so yay! I'm excited to be tagged. Though I probably won't be able to do it until after NaNo, just to warn you.

    2. It depends. I think for scheduling it might work better for a half an hour, but if you do it on a weekend I would probably be open for an hour one. It really depends on what is going on. :/
That's completely understandable. You're doing awesome in NaNo right now! Keep it up. :)

I'd love to hear your thoughts! But remember: it pays to be polite to dragons.
