Random Fridays: Disney Songs!

http://bookworm716.blogspot.com/
Hello, everyone! This week's Random Friday topic is extra fun, in my opinion. Today, I'll be blogging about Disney songs! And who doesn't love a good Disney song? These are some of my favorites, in no particular order.

Let's start off with one from Tangled, my favorite Disney movie. 7 AM, the usual morning line-up . . .
I think I need to take lessons from Rapunzel in getting things done. All that in one day! Of course, I guess if you don't have anything else to do . . .

Next up we have another morning song, this one from a classic: Beauty and the Beast.
I love this song and how it so effectively paints such a vivid picture of Belle's town. And, of course, I love Belle. She's definitely of my top three favorite Disney princesses, and my favorite of the classics.

And speaking of those top three favorite princesses . . .
Merida and "Touch the Sky"! There are so many things about this song I love. It's one of those songs that makes me wish for an adventure (and can result in me writing more about my characters' adventures to make up for the fact that I can't have one).

I think it's time for a change of pace and another Tangled song. Now, "I See the Light"!
Of all the songs from the Tangled soundtrack, I think this one is my favorite. It's such a sweet song, and it really shows how Rapunzel and Flynn have grown up to this point. Plus, the scene in the movie that it goes with is absolutely beautiful.

This is another sweet song, though with quite a different tone.
I love the melody of this song, but I love the lyrics more. They're so beautiful and soothing. And they're Gaelic, which makes them even better. I don't think this song would sound half as good in English.

Some of you may be thinking by now, "Sarah, do you like songs from any Disney movies besides these three?" The answer, for your information, is yes.
I confess, I'm not crazy about the movie The Fox and the Hound. Granted, it's been quite a few years since I watched it, but I remember it being pretty sad. I love this song, though. It's so cute!

[Can't think of a good segue for right here, so just enjoy the next song, ok?]
This is just a fun song. Lady and the Tramp is my favorite non-human Disney movie (as well as the only one I've actually watched in quite a while), and the Tramp is my favorite character in that movie.

Let's take a break from the classics with a song from one of my favorite artists.
Owl City. Singing a Disney song. Is there any question why this is on the list? It's such a fun tune, absolutely filled with possibilities for more stories.

Let's end this post with another classic . . . with a song as old as rhyme.
I don't think this one needs explanation.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed these songs!

  1. "He's a Tramp" is another of my faves, but it didn't make my list. Good choices, and thanks for participating.

  2. I love both of those songs from Brave, and I completely forgot them when I compiled my list of hero songs. Oh well. :)

The Fox and the Hound is another one of my favorite movies. It's not exactly sad, but it has some sad parts in it. To this day, my favorite animals are foxes because of that movie. And the song "Goodbye May Seem Forever" is just so touching.

    1. And I also love Tramp, from Lady and the Tramp. I didn't watch the movie very often when I was little, because we didn't have it. But now that I'm older I've seen it, and realized what an interesting and charming character he was. :)

    2. Oops! But yes, Brave songs are awesome.

The Fox and the Hound is one of your favorites? Hmm. Maybe I'll have to watch it again. I don't remember that song, probably because it's not on one of our "Best of classic Disney songs" cds.

You didn't have it? O_o We actually have two copies, a VHS and a DVD.

I'd love to hear your thoughts! But remember: it pays to be polite to dragons.
